Meet the Artist

Cassie Everson-Martin

Cassie is the artist behind Wanderlust Skulls, a studio dedicated to transforming natural form into intentional, lasting work.

Working from her Wisconsin studio, she approaches each skull with respect for its structure and history. Her process is slow and considered, guided by a belief that meaningful pieces are built with care, not haste.

Where It Begins

What begins in the open landscapes of Texas, finds new purpose in the studio. Cassie is drawn to skulls for their structure, strength and natural symmetry. Cassie's work aspires to work with each skull to enhance it's own natural and unique beauty. Each skull carries its own history of the longhorn or buffalo. Through color, texture, and layered details, designs are built with intention, allowing the natural lines in bone to guide the final design.

From Texas to the Studio

Each skull's beginning starts long before it reaches the studio in Wisconsin. Ethically sourced from Texas, Illinois, and Minnesota ranches, every piece reflects the character of the land it came from.Once in the studio, the skull is carefully cleaned and prepared by hand before any design work begins. After preparation is complete only then does the creative process begin.

"The creativity and attention to detail are incredible, each piece is so unique and beautifully curated."

I can’t say enough great things about Cassie and Wanderlust Skulls! I’ve purchased both a buffalo for my office and a massive longhorn for our main living space and they are absolutely stunning pieces. The creativity and attention to detail are incredible — each piece is so unique and beautifully curated! I also look forward to buying her ornaments every year for Christmas.

Living With the Work

Wanderlust Skulls are created to live in spaces that value intention — homes, studios, and collections where art is chosen carefully and kept for years to come.

Whether selected from the ready collection or commissioned as a custom piece, each skull carries the same commitment to craft and respect for material.
